Camp Governance - We are now doing the research and work necessary to separate the Camp from the District and define a new relationship between the two entities. Our hope is that a Camp Board could be established to govern the affairs of the Camp. This Board would be comprised of individuals with a strong burden for Camp and a proven ability to function in such a role.
The Maritime District churches would continue to forward funds to the Camp and the District Office would provide a regular grant/subsidy.

Camp’s 65th anniversary - It is time to celebrate! The Camp Committee has calculated the years of Camp’s existence, and it appears that this is our 65th year! Of course, the current location was purchased for $1 in 1951, but Camp existed on Foundry Hill before then.
Plans are being made for a banquet (in the Tabernacle). It will happen in 2009 on the first day of Family Camp (Monday, July 13). Look for promotional details on your church bulletin board in early 2009.
We are inviting everyone who has ever been a part of Camp Evangeline - workers, evangelists, campers and anyone who has been a part of the Maritime District. This will be a “coming home” celebration with special music, great food, stories and laughs!
We need your help to spread the word to people you may know. As soon as the promotional material reaches you or is posted on the website, please forward it to everyone you know!
If you have Camp pictures or stories we would love to have them. Send them by mail or email! Thanks! See you there!

Several of Camp’s buildings have deteriorated to the point where they are no longer useable. At the same time, Kids Kamp and Youth Camp are continuing to grow. We need more space for campers! Please help!
There are two options.
- “Buy-and-Build” - You purchase the materials and come and build the cabin. Cost: $2,500
- “Buy-and-Hire” - You purchase the material and we have someone else build. We have some men who are willing to construct the units. Cost: $3,000.
The entire “kit” is within an affordable range for many churches. Other churches may wish to join with another church or make the project a zone event.
In advance, a complete supply list and brief construction descriptions will be mailed to you. When your team arrives, all the materials will be on site and ready for your use. (Note: It is possible for you to bring the materials with you if you know of a cheaper supplier in your area.)
In the colder months, this units can be built inside the Laurie Price Building or Tabernacle and moved to the site in the spring.
If you have questions, or would like to arrange a project, please call Pastor Jim Molloy at 902.895.4212 or by email at jmolloy@ns.aliantzinc.ca.

Get into the swing of things...swinging a hammer that is! Calling all men to lend a hand sprucing up camp. We have big plans this year and we need your help!
